Fashion for Expecting Mums
A few months ago my best friend got married. The engagement was incredibly short, so I’d barely had time to get over the fact that she tied the knot when she announced she was pregnant.
Apprehensive at first, I’ve had a few months to get excited to welcome my God-Daughter into the world!
Now that I’m up to speed, I was shopping the other day and decided that maternity wear is pretty damn cute. It has come a long way since the frumpy, bag-like outfits of days past. Once at home, I hopped online to check out possible birthday presents for my expectant mother of a friend.
She’s not entirely huge, but that won’t last long. My first stop? Bumps Maternity, where great style collides with the comfort and ease of maternity wear. In addition, there’s some great practical baby
Culture on a Stick
I’m sure every Brit will agree with me that New York epitomizes the idea of America. Growing up in Massachusetts, New York was just a hop, skip, and a jump away. Unfortunately, I moved out west long before I was 21, so I never got to really “experience” the city. New York is exciting for any age group; it has a million things to see and do, including 23,000 restaurants to try. There’s the Statue of Liberty and the Empire State Building. Then there’s Broadway, the opera, comedy shows, and art gallery openings…but there are a couple reasons to go to New York that you might not have thought of, and they are on the streets!
Have you really experienced the myriad of street performers? Did you know that the street performers are hand-selected by the Metropolitan
Big Offers Offers You Everything But Mr. Big
Online shopping –it’s easy, convenient, and saves you loads without the need for travel. And yet, I wonder if I’m really getting a better deal by letting my fingers do all the shopping. What if it doesn’t fit? What if I find something even better at the actual store? What if…? Personally, I need a little more incentive to shop online. I need to know that what I’m getting on a website, I can’t possibly find anywhere else.
And guess what, ladies and gents—I found it! The newly re-launched Big Offers showed me the way with its incredible deals on just about everything: technology, fashion, jewellery, sports & leisure, toys & games, and much more. And with the re-launch, Big Offers has even better deals on your favorite items. From iPod and Wii accessories to Toshiba
Make Staples Your Office Staple
I don’t know about you, but I’m not one to waste my time. If I’m looking for a specific item—let’s say a printer—I much prefer to shop at a place where I can also find a desk I can put my new printer on. Call me lazy. Call me efficient. Call me Ishmael.
This is the exact reason why I absolutely adore Staples. Anything you could possibly need for your office, you can find there. Let your employees plant their bottoms on the best office chairs around. In fact, Staples is currently running a buy one chair, get one free for select products!
Maybe we’re getting a little ahead of ourselves. After all, what can you do without the use of a computer these days? Get it all started with great deals on laptops—everything from HP and Compaq, to Toshiba and Packard Bell.
Procrastination Train: Next Stop Father’s Day
Is anyone else a last minute kind of person? The thrill of a deadline looming over me always caused inspiration to strike when I was in school, and I’m beginning to think that same kind of principle applies for my post-graduate self as well.
I’m not just referring to research papers and group projects, either. I’m talking online banking, credit card payments (I’ve never fully missed one, thankfully)—and yes—holiday shopping.
Some of you might reassure me that I have plenty of months to go before I need to concern myself with holiday shopping, but I’m not talking about those holidays. I’m much more concerned with Father’s Day, which is just around the corner.
To get some ideas flowing (not to mention savings), I went to VoucherGurus.co.uk and searched their selection of Read more →
