Sleep When You’re Dead: Until Then, Travel!

What are you doing this upcoming Bank Holiday?  If you’re like me, maybe you haven’t made up your mind, but there’s still plenty of options left for affordable travel.

Personally I’m partial to a Parisian weekend getaway, and after the past couple weeks of entertaining guests at my place, it’s high time I treated myself to a mini vacation.  I consider it some kind of divine intervention that my guests find themselves picking up and leaving before the Bank Holiday.  I love my friends and family, but Halleluja!

My first stop usually is Rail Europe, and as expected, they’re featuring tickets to Paris starting at just £69.  Considering I’ve got friends to shack up with, this stay promises to be incredibly affordable.  I can instead spend my money on pretty things I don’t need, and of course, food.

For individuals going to Paris—or anywhere, really—there’s also eBookers.com for affordable hotels and travel extras.  With stays from as low as £28 per night, just about anyone on any salary can kick back their heels this holiday weekend without breaking the bank!

And for a little stay-at-home tourism, I look to 365Tickets.com.  It’s all too easy to take for granted the sights you pass by everyday, but a good way to add flavour to that bland everyday existence is to pretend you’re a tourist in your own town!  Some of you might scoff at this suggestion, but I guarantee you’ll have a blast.

Of course you could always stay at home for a long relaxing weekend—I’m no stranger to that approach either.  Just remember you can sleep when you’re dead—traveling is for the young (and the young of heart)!

Saving money, on the other hand, is for everyone.  With that said, be sure to stop by VoucherGurus before you make any travel purchases for the best Rail Europe vouchers, eBookers discounts and 365Tickets.com deals.

Happy travels!
