Where to Shop and How to Save on Jeans
Buying jeans can be a complex task for even the most savvy shopper. However, throughout our lives we pick up some fundamental lessons in jeans shopping, such as whether we can wear high rise versus low rise, or skinny jeans make us look more like a pear and less like a celebrity, or perhaps we think flares should have stayed firmly in the 1970s, and should never have made a comeback again, and again, and again. Whatever our views, when shopping jeans there are a number of excellent stores out there, and of course VoucherGurus has plenty of ways you can save when it comes time to renew your denim.
At Acne they’ll let you be as traditional (see Her Basic Blue) or as wacky (see Kex Pleather) as you want, and of course you can try anything in between. I guess the beauty of being Swedish, as the Acne folks are, is that if you play your cards right (and wear your jeans right) you can wear pleather like a rockstar, and not like a fashion victim. Check out specials for Acne before you start shopping.
For the needs of the man in your life visit Burton. These guys do smart without spilling over into yuppy territory. They’re running a 50% off sale at the moment, where you can get jeans for only £10. Make sure you take advantage of Burton vouchers, and remember, if you spend £70 or more they’ll ship you your order for free.
If you’d like to wear designer jeans, but you’d rather not pay the full price, we have two particularly good stores on our jeans radar screens. The first is Fast Jeans, where you can get serious discounts on classic yet cool brands like Levis. The second is Swerve, which admittedly is a bit more snooty (in a good way), stocking the likes of Armani and Hugo Boss. But snooty is fine, so long as it doesn’t cost too much. Wouldn’t you just love to wear Diesel without having to pay the Oxford Street price?
Of course, even when name brands cost less, they still might pinch the purse a little bit. A high-quality lower-priced favourite of ours is ONLY. This shop consistently has nifty styles for lower prices. If you want to be a fashionista and wear what’s a la mode, then they’ll be able to provide you with those styles in their solid ONLY brand for just the right amount of dough. However, they also stock good, reliable styles and once you know your ONLY style, you’ll be able to enjoy it in different colours and washes for years to come. Plus their host of fun tops and accessories in all sorts of colours can really dress your jeans up or down, depending on your preference. If you can get fresh denim for as little as £25 on a normal day, we don’t see how we can’t recommend ONLY. Especially when they have a Sale section filled with goodies, too.
VoucherGurus wishes you all the best on the challenge that is jeans shopping. Remember to check back with us frequently so you can pay less and get more.
